Volunteers in Public Schools

Our Parent Involvement Center is located in the former Gateway Elementary School building located at Sterling and West Drive.
It is open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. for ESL classes. It is open at various other times for classes and for parent projects. The center contains information for parents concerning child development as well as resources for helping your child succeed in school. The center also serves as a resource center for drug and violence education and prevention. There is a wide range of materials that are free to the community.

If you would like more information about the center or how to access its resources, please contact Barbie Schroeder, District Parent Involvement Coordinator, at barbie.schroeder@borgerisd.net or at 273-4345 or the Parent Involvement Coordinator on your child’s campus.

We look forward to serving the parents of our community as we all work together to make our students as successful as they can be.
